More people than ever enjoy freeride skiing and snowboarding in the back country. Quite understandable! That feeling of floating or surfing through untouched powder on a clear sunny day, far away from lift lines, noise and crowds is magic and will create memories to keep you happy through those dark, rainy November afternoons.

We all know that there are risks that comes with the enjoyment, something that it’s easy to forget when we stand there and just feel like going for it. Besides having the necessary gear the best way to minimise the risk of avalanche accidents is knowledge and basic avalanche training is essential to everybody that spends their time outside the posted areas.

Besides that you will get to go skiing with professional skiers, get tips and feed back on your off-piste skiing performance and a video debriefing. Alpinist, mountain guide and extreme sports athlete Caro North will be one of your guides and on Saturday evening her latest expedition film from Antarctica will be shown.
